The short version: Star Quest does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information from anyone — including children. The app works fully offline, shows no ads, contains no third-party tracking, and requires no account.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Star Quest mobile application (the “App”, package
com.plapl.quest), published by Plapl (“we”, “us”), handles information. By using the App you
agree to this policy.
None. The App does not collect or process any personal or sensitive user data. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account. We do not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers, and we have no servers that receive data from the App.
The App saves your game progress — such as stars, high scores, unlocked colours, chosen difficulty, and any nickname you type for a player profile — locally on your device only. This information never leaves the device, is not transmitted to us or any third party, and is not accessible to us. Any nickname entered is a free-text label for on-device play; it does not need to be a real name and is not sent anywhere.
The App requests no special permissions and does not access the internet. Sound effects and music are generated on the device. Read-aloud narration uses your device’s built-in text-to-speech engine, provided by your device’s operating system; the App sends no text or data to us in the process, and any on-device speech processing is governed by your device manufacturer’s and operating system’s own privacy terms.
The App contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. We do not use cookies or any tracking technologies.
Star Quest is designed to be suitable for children and families. Because the App collects no personal information whatsoever from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Our practices are intended to comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws such as the GDPR provisions for children. There is no data collection, profiling, advertising, or external communication directed at children or anyone else.
We do not sell, rent, or share any information, because we do not collect any.
All saved progress lives only on your device. Uninstalling the App, or clearing the App’s storage in your device settings, permanently removes that locally stored data.
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised version at this same URL.
